Visit Canada’s Most Famous Gardens  Sprawling over 22 hectares (55 acres) in Brentwood Bay, the Butchart Gardens is spectacular in every season. The Gardens, which began in a limestone quarry in 1904, was recognized as a National Historic Site in 2004, and is visited by nearly one million people each year.
