Telegraph Cove
Situated in a snug, sheltered harbour at the north end of eastern Vancouver Island, Telegraph Cove is a place that so embraces the past that it seems to live in it. The little community brings history alive with picturesque preserved 100-year-old buildings and boardwalks from its heyday as a lumber mill and salmon saltery. Its proximity to the Blackfish Archipelago and Knight Inlet, one of the richest marine ecosystems on the planet, makes it a popular jumping-off point for orca and humpback whale watching, grizzly bear tours, ocean kayaking, sportfishing, diving and more. The marina, pub, general store, boutiques, cabins, oceanside RV resorts and a couple of restaurants are among the services to be found here.
