The Northern Coast’s great tradition as a vacation spot began decades ago as Oregon’s Willamette Valley city dwellers left summer heat and a hectic pace to enjoy the temperate weather, beautiful scenery and vacation fun of the northern coast. Less than two hours from Portland they could reach long stretches of sandy beaches set against the dramatic rugged headlands and all the fun activities of a seaside setting.
That tradition remains today but visitors come from around the world to experience the stunning beauty and the rich vacation experience offered by a seaside town.
