Penticton
Nestled between Okanagan Lake and Skaha Lake and surrounded by vineyards, orchards and mountain slopes draped with Ponderosa pine and sagebrush, Penticton pulsates with adventure and creative spirit. Naramata is a funky community of 750 with interesting artisans, shops, enticing restaurants, historical attractions and more than a dozen wineries nearby. One of Penticton’s most popular summer activities is floating leisurely down the Okanagan River Channel, a seven-kilometre long waterway flows south from Okanagan Lake to Skaha Lake. At the other end of the adrenaline spectrum, thousands of competitors participate in the Penticton Ironman Triathlon the last Sunday of every August.
