COURTENAY-COMOX (LERWICK) SKATEPARK It’s HUGE (24,500 square feet)! It has been featured in international skateboarding magazines and is a “destination” skatepark. 1551 Lerwick Rd. (next to Mark Isfeld School).
COURTENAY RECREATION & LEWIS CENTRE The Lewis Centre offers a plethora of recreational activities, and includes the Courtenay & District Memorial Pool (open Jun-Aug), the Courtenay Rotary Water Park (open May-Sep) and an outdoor skatepark. There are also numerous indoor services featured at this facility.
DISCOVERY FISHING PIER There’s always somebody fishing on the 600-foot-long pier, which is also wheelchair accessible. Kids can rent poles by the hour!
FILBERG HERITAGE LODGE & PARK has a chilren's petting zoo open through the summer, plus waterfront gardens, a teahouse and the Tla wa sints guy a las Totem Pole. The park hosts the annual Filberg Festival every summer on the August 1st long weekend, which is a hit with the kids.
