Only 20 minutes from the Jasper townsite, Marmot Basin offers superb skiing and snowboarding, with a variety that includes groomed runs, trees, bumps, alpine bowls and chutes. Marmot Basin has installed three new chairlifts, including the Canadian Rockies Express—the longest high-speed quad in the Alberta Canadian Rocky Mountains. Marmot boasts 86 runs: 30% Novice, 30% Intermediate, 20% Advanced and 20% Expert. Marmot features a unique ‘ski from your vehicle’ parking lot system making for ski-in, ski-out convenience. The area has three main lodge buildings, one located at the base area and two up the mid-mountain area. At Marmot Basin, the ski season runs from mid-November to early May. The Rogers Terrain Park at Marmot Basin offers riders a variety of small, medium and large features, including boxes, rails, jibs and jumps. Split into different lines, the park has a relaxed, respectful and friendly atmosphere, which encourages riders of all abilities to progress and have fun. Features are changed regularly through the season to make the most of the current snow and conditions.
